I have so many people asking me how I do what I do, online with Forward Steps and my personal development blogs, that I decided to create a list of the web tools, programs and software that I most often use, and about which I am most often asked. Many of these are free resources, and many I have used several years.

The favorite internet tools are listed in random order, so there is no ranking value or preference attributed to the numbering. Items are numbered, solely for easy referencing.

2. Tell-A-Friend used at Forward Steps, is a free service to allow your visitors to share your website. You place a 'tell a friend' button, or text line, on your website and when your visitor decides to tell their friend about your website, a mouse click takes them to a simple form.

6. BudURL™ was designed from the start to give small businesses and marketers insight into previously invisible click traffic. BudURL makes link tracking amazingly simple. Shorten the link, put it somewhere, and watch the clicks roll in. Go to their site and watch the video.

7. FileZilla Client is a fast and reliable cross-platform FTP, FTPS and SFTP client with lots of useful features and an intuitive graphical user interface. If you do not create your own web pages and have no idea what I am talking about and want to know, then hop over to I Create Profits

8. Take advantage of the offer to try out AudioAcrobat, free for 30 days. I have used their services several years now and can find no fault. You can hear my audio at the Forward Steps site, and recorded client testimonials at the Triggers ezine link. Their features range much broader.

9. Using Freedback I can put an HTML form on my site in about 8 minutes. I created the entire 50 Questions exercise and my Forward Steps Contact Form by using their great facility, amongst other pages, at my site. Unlimited questions per form and unlimited submissions.

10. Sitemap Generator lets you create an XML sitemap that can be submitted to Google, Yahoo and other search engines to help them crawl your website better. Create a Text sitemap to have a plain list of all your pages, and an HTML map, allowing visitors to easily navigate your site.

11. With ScratchBack your readers get the opportunity to display a text link in return for their tip. This is about allowing your readers to “give back” to you in a fun way. It’s about engaging your readers and letting them participate with you beyond just leaving comments.

12. Not everybody likes to use their credit card online, or has a Paypal account. For that reason I do offer the following alternative Payment Options Just write to me and I will be happy to help out if you would prefer to make use of one of these, rather than any online options.

13. A calculator for international Exchange Rates is an invaluable tool. This is a simple, accurate and fast place to refer your site visitors. At Forward Steps I offer items in USD and many of you may want to use this link for knowing how much a payment might be in your currency.

14. The internet can bring us together, yet everyone has different time zones. With World Time Server pick the place and time your event will occur and they will give you a link to email or post on your website. For your next event or meeting, try their cool Meeting Planner too.
